What Is It
Battery 2.0 will automatically turn on when power is interrupted. This means that you never have to worry about why did the light go out or why did the elevator stop; the only thing you will know is that the elevator is still operational and safe to use, while you wait for the main power supply to be restored or the elevator has completed a safe return to the ground floor. It is embedded into the elevation system at Nibav home elevators as a completely automated operation, so no additional intervention from users is required for its operation.
Why Does It Matter
Power outages can happen without warning and can lead to anxiety and distress when a power failure occurs while you are in an elevator. In order to reduce passenger discomfort and anxiety, Battery 2.0 backup ensures that cabin lights and ventilation will continue to operate throughout the duration of the power outage. The continuous operation of cabin lights and ventilation during a power failure increases overall passenger comfort, situational awareness, and safety; as well as reinforces passenger confidence in the reliability of the elevator, particularly for residential use of elevators on a daily basis.

- Multiple Story and Future-Ready Homes
Children tend to feel safer when cabin lighting and fresh air remain active throughout power interruptions.
Elderly users receive the benefit of non-stop lighting, fresh air, and operational controls during power outages.
Future-ready homes are built to accommodate long-term access and can benefit from additional reliable backup.
